The Smriti Diwas of Sri Sri Mahavatar Babaji, who revived in this age the lost scientific meditation technique of Kriya Yoga, was celebrated on July 25, 2019  with Meditation and Pushpanjali, followed by Guru langar.

On this day in 1920, shortly before Paramhansa Yogananda left for America, Mahavatar Babaji came to him at his home in Kolkata. The young Yogananda had been deeply praying for divine assurance regarding the mission he was about to undertake when Babaji said to him: "Follow the behest of your guru and go to America. Fear not; you shall be protected. You are the one I have chosen to spread the message of Kriya Yoga in the West."
